ERI Institute has just completed a 12-month research project that identified the biggest 30 global challenges facing humanity. They’ve created a ‘hit list’ of problems for impact investors to focus their attention towards. They also analysed five of the biggest problems – such as extreme poverty – to identify the most significant underlying causes, so that investors know where to focus their investment for maximum impact. The ESG Podcast spoke with Gilad Tanay, the founder ERI Institute to learn more.
Tanay has worked with government departments, NGOs, businesses, and philanthropic funds, helping them to take a data-driven approach to their social impact initiatives. He is committed to driving positive change and tackling social injustice and inequalities. Prior to establishing ERI Institute, Tanay co-founded and served as US director of Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP), an international NGO. He also served as a lecturer and fellow at the Global Justice Program at Yale University.
Where else can you go to begin solving the 30 biggest global challenges facing humanity? It’s one of our best – and most important – podcasts so far.
